I LOVE this book series. First, I got it thinking that I’d use it to fill in the last minutes in class —which works perfectly! However, that was just the beginning! Once my students started, they didn’t want me to stop! That is the real issue; once they do a few, they are hooked and they won’t want to work on anything else 😂!! After that success, I ordered several copies and have students work in small groups. I’ve used this as a sub plan and it’s amazing! Definitely a must for your classroom!

I am just delighted with ¿En qué estoy pensando? by Carla Tarini. I have found a number of books of riddles but none of them were so comprehensible and accessible to my students as this one. It is really genius - such a simple concept so easily applied, so intriguing and fun for students. It not only makes me excited to use this with my students as is, but also to do what she has done and write my own for characters in novels we read, or places or cultures we study, or other important historical figures. In fact, she actually gives you images and walks you as the teacher through making your own! There are SO many helpful teaching tips in this book, I can't just call it a book of riddles; it is a book of riddles AND a teacher's guide! Also, the way she includes the answer key in the back is so smart - it makes it so you can check and see if you're right without accidentally seeing other answers. You will have to get the book to find out! I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to catalog it so I can get it into my student FVR library!!!
