I love this series of books! This is exactly what some beginning students crave to find during independent reading sessions: something that is understandable, can be read in short sittings, and is a playful, creative experience. The book includes a glossary, but I have to say that the clues are so well-written with beginners in mind that many students will be able to follow along without the glossary. We teachers need to stock our bookshelves with more than fiction, and this series is a great start.

To further your learning, each riddle is followed by a variety of open-ended questions which can be answered aloud or in writing. In addition, there is a diverse collection of full-page images, all new for book #4, which offer inspiration for writing your own riddles in Spanish. Two short guides, one for independent learners and one for teachers, are included in each book and provide detailed instructions, new for book #4, on how to get the most out of this book and the series.
